Phil Greenhalgh is responsible for Plessey’s technical strategy, system architecture and long-term technology roadmap. He holds a BEng and PhD from the University of Kent, where he subsequently spent 13 years as an academic, combining teaching with research and grant-funded programmes.

A significant milestone in his career was serving as Chief Technical Officer of WaveOptics, where he defined and coordinated the company’s technical direction and led the technical due diligence process during its acquisition by Snap Inc.
At Plessey, Phil applies system-level expertise to optimise microLED panel technology for best-in-class display performance, and is responsible for re-mapping the company’s extensive intellectual property and deep technical talent into new technology areas.
